In recent years, technology has been advancing rapidly, and things that we never thought could exist, today are a reality, so we have a bright future ahead in the field of technology where there seem to be no limits or impossible things to achieve. Therefore, companies are constantly looking to adapt to the pace of technological advancement to stay competitive in a fast-moving market and at the same time improve both their performance and the satisfaction of their customers and employees.

One of the most frequent questions we find today in social networks is What to expect in tech in 2022, and the reality is that we can expect great advances, from sustainable energy solutions, artificial intelligence, development of the 6G network, among other things.

SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the only energy that saw an increase in demand was renewable energy. In fact, during the first three months of the lockdown in the U.S., the use of renewable energy increased by almost 40%, as did the demand for renewable energy in the rest of the world. With this in mind, many companies have focused on developing and improving renewable energy production, and it is estimated that by the end of 2022, the costs of producing energy from wind and solar will be reduced by more than 10%.

However, the most impactful form of renewable energy we can expect to see this year is Helion Energy, which is based on repeating the energy creation process that occurs in the sun’s core, and the most advanced fusion generator of this type is expected to start up this year, which will undoubtedly revolutionize the market as it could produce on average more than 35% of the energy produced by a traditional nuclear reactor, and would be ecofriendly.

6G NETWORK

When the 5G network had not yet begun to be deployed, there were already companies, governments, and universities working on developing the next generation of mobile networks, the 6G network. Although the 5G network has dazzled us with its performance, the 6G network would be even more amazing since it could reduce latency down to 0.1 milliseconds, reaching more than five times the maximum speed currently provided by the 5G network. This advance could enable real-time transmissions, which would be fundamental in fields such as medicine, the military industry, and holography, among others.

One of the companies that are more committed to this project is Samsung, which estimates that the upload and download speeds could reach up to 1,000 Gbps, this would allow the future new multimedia formats to be transmitted without delays. Besides, Huawei recently made public that they have been working on this project for more than three years and are looking for a way to couple 5G and 6G networks in parallel. In fact, it is expected that by July, they will put into orbit two satellites to start testing this new technology.

As in recent years, 2022 will be a great year for technology, where we will see advances in all areas, from new smartphone models, and new processors to new fusion generators, which will change the world.
